Birthday Parties
What age range are the parties suitable for?
Our VR birthday parties are ideal for children aged 7 to 14, though we regularly have older teens and even adults join in and everyone loves it!
How many children can attend?
Most of our parties work best with up to 12 children. If you have more, just let us know and we’ll see what we can arrange.
What games do they play?
The kids can choose from a selection of exciting multiplayer games — from zombie battles to magical worlds and crazy virtual kitchens! We’ll help tailor the experience to the age group.
Do you provide food and drinks?
Yes! if you add our Party Space “Console Corner” to your party you can Self Cater or if you prefer we can arrange food and drinks. You’re also welcome to bring your own cake or snacks.
Can I bring my own cake or decorations?
Yes! you’ll need to have added our Party Space Console corner to your party
How long is a party session?
Standard parties include 1 hour’s VR but most people include our Party Space Console Corner for an additional hour meaning most parties last 2 hours, which includes VR time, food/cake an console time.
What’s included in the party package?
Each party includes VR gameplay, a host to guide the group, access to our amazing party space “Console Corner” is an additional fee but means you can extend your party time but also means you can bring your own food and drinks
Group Bookings / Corporate Events
Do you offer packages for team-building or corporate events?
Yes! We regularly run sessions for businesses, schools, sports teams and more. Whether you’re after team-building or just a fun day out, we’ve got you covered.
How many players can join at once?
We can accommodate up to 12 players at once, but we also rotate larger groups efficiently. It’s all managed smoothly so no one’s left waiting too long.
Can we book the whole venue privately?
Yes — full venue hire is available. Just get in touch and we’ll tailor the package to your needs.
Do you provide food and drinks?
Yes! if you add our Party Space “Console Corner” to your party you can Self Cater or if you prefer we can arrange food and drinks. You’re also welcome to bring your own cake or snacks.
Are food and drinks available for large bookings?
We can arrange food and refreshments for group bookings – from light snacks to full catering options.
What kind of experiences are good for adults?
Adults love our VR laser tag, zombie survival games, escape-style experiences and more. It’s proper good fun — not just for the kids!
Games & Experiences
What kind of games can I play?
We offer a range of games — action, puzzle, cooking, fantasy, and more. Most are multiplayer, so you and your group can play together.
Are all games multiplayer?
Yes, the majority of our games are co-op or competitive multiplayer — ideal for groups playing together in the same virtual space.
Do you have age restrictions for certain games?
Some games are more intense or feature mild horror themes, so we’ll guide you on what’s best for your group based on age.
How many players can play together?
Up to 12 players can play in the same session, depending on the game. We’ll help match the right game to the group size.
Can we switch between different games?
Yes — we’ll often run a couple of games during a session to keep things fresh and exciting.
Are the games scary or suitable for kids?
We have family-friendly games as well as scarier ones for thrill-seekers. We’ll always ask what you’re comfortable with before starting.
Booking & Availability
How do I book a session?
You can book directly through our website at www.odysseyvr.co.uk, or call us for help with custom bookings.
Can I walk in or do I need to pre-book?
Pre-booking is strongly advised, especially for weekends or parties — we often sell out!
How far in advance should I book for a party or event?
We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance to secure your ideal date and time.

First-Time Visitors / What to Expect
What is group VR / free-roam VR?
It’s multiplayer VR where you physically walk around the space, untethered, and interact with your teammates in the same virtual world. No wires — just full freedom!
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes and shoes — think trainers, not heels! You’ll be moving about a fair bit.
Will I get motion sickness?
Most people don’t. Because you’re moving physically in the same space as you do in the game, it feels natural. If you’re worried, just ask our staff — we’ll help you choose a gentle game to start.
Is it safe for kids?
Yes — all our equipment is age-appropriate, and our trained hosts guide kids every step of the way.
Do you have a briefing before the session?
Yes, we give every group a fun, easy-to-understand safety and game briefing before they get started.
Will we all be in the game together?
Yes — that’s the best bit! Everyone is in the same virtual world, communicating and interacting together.
Safety & Accessibility
Is VR safe?
Absolutely. Our systems are designed for all ages 7+, and we provide clear instructions and supervision throughout.
Do you cater for players with additional needs?
We do our best to be inclusive and supportive. Let us know in advance and we’ll do everything we can to adapt the session.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes — our building has step-free access and an accessible toilet. Some experiences may be more suitable than others, and we’ll guide you accordingly.
What safety measures are in place during gameplay?
Each session is supervised by trained staff, and our systems include safety boundaries, soft flooring, and real-time monitoring.
Pricing & Payments
How much does it cost?
Pricing varies based on the activity and length of session. You’ll find full details on our booking page. Parties start from £25 per child.
Are there discounts for larger groups or schools?
Yes! We offer tailored packages for schools, clubs, and large groups. Just get in touch and we’ll work out the best deal for you.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major debit/credit cards, cash, and digital payments like Google/Apple Pay. For larger bookings, we can also invoice.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes — they make brilliant presents! You can buy them online or in-person at the centre.
Parents & Spectators
Can parents watch the gameplay?
Yes, we have viewing screens and a chill-out area where you can watch the fun unfold.
Is there a waiting area?
There is! You can relax with a coffee or watch the action while you wait.
Can I leave my child at the party and return later?
Yes — for kids 8+, you’re welcome to drop them off and return at pick-up time. We’ll make sure they’re well looked after.

Is there parking on site?
Yes — plenty of free parking just outside the venue.
How do I find you inside the building/complex?
We’re clearly signposted once you arrive. If you’re unsure, just give us a ring and we’ll guide you in.

I had an issue with my booking, who do I contact?

I didn’t receive a confirmation email — what now?
Yes — plenty of free parking just outside the venue.
Check your spam/junk folder first. If it’s not there, get in touch and we’ll resend it.
Can I change the number of players after booking?
Yes, up to a certain point — just give us as much notice as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate changes.
